| Taster session: 1 - 2.30pm on a FRIDAY, 11 MAY!!! Training sessions: from 21st May to 16th July - MONDAY morning Would you like to support breastfeeding Mums in your area, whilst getting a recognised qualification with the Open College Network? Have you got time to offer up to 4 hours a month to work with your local children’s centre? You will be part of a group of other peer supporters and will receive ongoing support from a trained NCT Breastfeeding counsellor. | Messy Play is run to serve the local community by Cherry Hinton Baptist Church and local Christians. This weekly activity is for parents/carers and pre-school children to play and not to worry about the mess. Sand, water, play-dough, crayons, paints, chalks, glue, glitter, craft and aprons are provided. Cost: £1 for 1st child over 1 year old, 50p for each extra child over 1 year old. No charge for babies under 1 year old. |

Next Dates: 8 May & 12 Jun 2012 The Child and Family Team organize drop-in ‘Sleep Clinics’ for parents/carers with children 6 months and over. So if you have a “Late Settler”, a “Middle of the Night Screamer”, a “Difficult to Get out of Bed Child”, an “Early Riser” or maybe all of these, then COME ALONG!!! An opportunity to discuss your problem with a health professional and talk to other parents/carers with similar experiences. |

| Last Tuesday of every month. Next date: 29 May 2012 The Children's Centre has a big stock of under 5s clothes to be swapped. This resource is constantly changing due to people bringing in clothes their little ones have grown out of and swapping for clothes they can use. Drop in with clean baby/toddler clothes that are in good condition. For every item you bring to the Clothes Swap, you will be awarded points that you can use to take clothes away. Don’t worry if you don’t have anything to swap – everyone are given 20 free points to start with. |

| A 5-week parenting programme for parents of toddlers aged (1 to 5). The focus of the programme is to explore the reasons behind toddlers' behaviour and identify their needs; to discuss effective and respectful discipline strategies and increase play and interaction with your toddler; investigate how toddlers' brain work and how it effects the behaviour. Join and meet other parents in a relaxed, non-judgemental environment. Duration: 20 June - 18 July 2012 Creche available. Booking essential.
